The guys over at TopSpeed decided they are not satisfied with the dispersed speculation about the 2016 Camaro. So taking matters into their own hands, they came up with a series of highly detailed renderings of the car, basically previewing what it will look like.
These 2016 Camaro renderings are based on the known facts, latest spyshots, and a bit of educated guessing as to what sort of styling features the car’s “evolutionary” design might spawn next. The result in a sleek and fancy looking Camaro with thiner headlights than before and a more chiseled look at the back. Not bad at all.
In terms of the technicalities, the 2016 Camaro will be based on the Cadillac ATS platform which is great news. The old Holden chassis was good fun, but it really wasn’t up to the task, especially when compared to the new Mustang’s setup with its independent suspension and stuff. The next Camaro will address that issue.
The car could also get a new four-cylinder variant to challenge the new Mustang EcoBoost. GM already has a brilliant four-cylinder turbo engine they use in the ATS Turbo. So that’s another thing to look forward to.
