Each year when it’s time for the Au Dhabi Grand Prix, Scuderia Ferrari makes a point of visiting the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the world’s first and so far only Ferrari theme park. This year Scuderia drivers Raikkonen and Alonso decided to have a go on the fearsome Formula Rossa roller coaster.

Fernando Alonso, who is enjoying his last days with Ferrari before heading back to McLaren, does betray some emotions, but the Iceman Kimi Rakkonen just sits there looking bored out of his mind. It’s like he is sitting in a church. Gotta love this guy!

Some fact about Formula Rossa roller coaster: The fastest roller coaster in the world acceleratesto its top speed of 240 km/h (150 mph) approximately 5 seconds after launch. It is propelled by a hydraulic launch system like the one used in aircraft carriers to launch the planes. The track itself is about 2.2 km.

Next season Fernando Alonso will be replaced by Sebastian Vettel who is actually a good mate of Kimi. Ferrari hopes this change is just what they need to end the cycle of bad luck they’ve been suffering from since, well, Kimi’s world title in 2007.
