McLaren to Build 20 Bare Carbon P1s, All of Them Already Sold

Taking a leaf out of Pagani’s book, McLaren is said to be in the process of making a number of P1 hyper cars with bare carbon fiber bodies. Of course all P1s have carbon bodies, but we are talking about visible, bare carbon panels here with matching weaves and stuff. That’s a whole different thing.

People with close contacts inside McLaren are saying the British company has planned 20 bare carbon P1s. These are not limited run models, but part of the original 375 production units, which of course mans all of them are already sold.

These bare carbon P1s are special orders though, which means they will be processed by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), known for doing some pretty crazy things with this car, as seen here and here. Chances are each of the carbon P1s will also be fitted with some sort of exclusive visual feature to be further distinguished from the rest.

McLaren P1 will undoubtedly look extra hot wearing nothing but sexy carbon weaves – like a lingerie of sorts. But will it look better than the carbon Huayras, Zondas, and Bugattis?
