The name’s a mouthful, but the car is something truly special. We are talking about a new product by Dutch boutique car maker Donkervoort, called the D8 GTO, the Bilster Berg Edition. Set for debut in early 2015, the GTO BB is built as an homage to the Bilster Berg race track in Germany.

Now that’s not a very famous track, but that doesn’t mean that the lap record set there by Donkervoort D8 GTO is anything less than impressive. The manufacturer has not very chatty about the car’s specs and details, but you can expect a number of upgrades over the standard GTO, and a whole lotta commemorative badges.

The Donkervoort D8 GTO is powered by the famous Audi 2.5 liter TFSI engine, albeit with some beefy turbos and a number of very serious modifications. It makes 380 horsepower in the standard version which weighs about 700 kg. Both those numbers could be bolder in the Bilster Berg edition. Stay tuned for further details in the coming weeks.
