Along with the new Cayenne Turbo S, Porsche also revealed at the Detroit Motor Show the GTS variant of the 911 (991) Targa. This will only make choosing the right 911 harder for the customers, but if you want a 430 hp, AWD 911 with a huge sunroof, the Porsche 991 Targa 4 GTS is the one to get.

Mechanically, the Porsche 991 Targa 4 GTS is powered by the same flat-six you find in the hardtop 911 GTS with 430 horsepower. As with the ordinary Targa, it only comes as a four-wheel-drive and has a fully automatic Targa top that we still maintain is unnecessarily complicated.

Porsche 991 Targa 4 GTS is distinguished over normal models by the virtue of a revised front fascia with an opening for the auxiliary middle radiator and the tinted Bi-Xenon headlights that feature the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS). Standard is Sport Chrono package, PASM chassis, 20-inch center lock wheels, and sport exhaust system, and you get “targa” logo on the silver Targa bar as well gloss black detailing.

Performance-wise, the Targa 4 GTS (with PDK transmission) has a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.1 seconds, and can reach a top track speed of over 186 mph. To be launched in the United States in late-April 2015, the Tagra GTS will cost you nearly $134,000 with destination.
