The production version of the Jaguar C-X17, better known as the Jaguar SUV, is set to make its debut at the Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS) shortly. The car is officially named Jaguar F-Pace, and it is pitched as a highly efficient five-seat performance crossover.
To know the official details of the Jaguar F-Pace you are going to wait a little bit longer, but the British company has revealed that it features an aluminium-intensive architecture and advanced suspension system. That tells us the F-Pace is tuned more for sporty handling and on-road performance rather than off-road, which isn’t a necessarily bad thing. It is also said to offer class-leading interior space with top of the line luxury, and a very beautiful design.
Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, commented: “We received such an overwhelmingly positive response to the C-X17 concept car last year that we just had to make it a reality.
“The Jaguar F-PACE, inspired by the F-TYPE, represents a perfectly judged balance of performance, style and practicality. It offers a unique combination of Jaguar sports car inspired exterior design, fused beautifully with a thoroughly practical and spacious luxury interior. The F-PACE is our family sports car.”
