Later this month Toyota will reveal, in the UK, a new concept car which they say will change our way of life. OK, so they don’t say it like that. They do say, however, that it “will make a valuable contribution to the world we live in,” and that it has “the potential to transform the look of every vehicle on the road.”
Nobody knows yet what Toyota RND Concept is like, or what class it belongs too. But Toyota is so confident of its success, they are going to skip all the middle bits and just unveil the car in full production form. They have even fixed its on-the-road price already.
Toyota even goes as far as saying RND Concept’s impact will go far beyond its own model range, so it must be something truly special. Given this comment, and another hinting at the “fun-to-drive” qualities of the RND, some say this car might be variant of the GT86 sports car, possibly a four-door version. But whichever way you cut the 86, it is by no means a product of colossal impact.
