McLaren revealed their brand-new Formula 1 racing car for the 2015 season, the McLaren MP4-30, and also released a rather cheesy but kinda amusing teaser video. This Back to the Future-themed clip is called “Back to the Racetrack” starring Jensen Button and Fernando Alonso in a McLaren 650S time machine.

After a bit of arguing about where should they go in their time machine, past or the future, the boys settle on March 15, 2015, which is the start of the new F1 season in Melbourne, Australia. OK, so Alonso and Button are not brilliant actors, but this is very well-made clip:

The McLaren MP4-30, or McLaren-Honda MP4-30 to give its full name, is now ready to fight, boasting noticeably different looks brought on by substantial aerodynamic tweaks, and Honda’s 1.6 litre V6 engine, the RA615H. McLaren has high hopes for the new season, even though most people are putting their money on Mercedes’ championship-winning Hamilton/Rosberg team and Ferrari’s Vettel/Raikkonen. But F1 history teaches us that it’s often the team you least expect to win that comes on top.
