The new Ford GT super car, as you may know, will first make virtual debut in Forza Motorsport 6 video game before it hits the road in the real world. On this occasion, Xbox, the platform behind Forza, teamed up with Ford to release a mini documentary explaining all that is good about the new GT.

In this video pretty much everybody involved in the new Ford GT project, from the managers, to the designers, engineers and technicians, will talk about their share of the task and why they think the GT is a cracking car:

The 2017 Ford GT is powered by a win-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, the same basic that won the Rolex 24 endurance race last sunday. In the GT it generates over 600 horsepower, delivered to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle. The car is modern interpretation of the classic GT inside and out. But it doesn’t want to pretend that it’s as good as the original, because nothing is. That’s why while you get some of the classic features, they are for the most part exaggerated and maybe caricaturized a bit. The car is still wide and low, and it still looks like a missile, but you won’t mistaken for an original GT. The same applies to the interior where you get retro-looking dials and knobs, but a F1-style steering wheel and modern instruments.
