Last month General Motors dropped the first details and images of one of the hottest cars they’ve ever created – the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V. This magnificent 640-hp super saloon has now been digitally rendered as a family friendly station wagon (or shooting brake, as the designer calls it).
This is one of those renderings that will undoubtedly be seen in the real world in a few months, owing to the huge popularity of the old Cadillac CTS-V Wagon. That car was not only a thorn in its German rivals’ side, it was also a favorite of all tuners the world over. The big V8 in the CTS-V was very easy to get insane amount of horsepower out of.
The new Cadillac CTS-V Wagon will be built using the same recipe, but it now comes out of the factory already tuned to the max, developing a colossal 640 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque, and boasting a top speed of 200 mph. And it now looks more elegant and beautiful. This speculative rendering by the guys from Virtuel Car does a brilliant job of showcasing that beauty.
Chances are the wagon version of the 2016 CTS-V will become a bigger hit than the sedan version. Regardless of the fact that it is more practical and just as fast, it is just somehow a lot sweeter than the sedan!
