The first official, proper images of Lexus LF-SA, the firm’s latest concept model set for debut at the Geneva Auto Show, have leaked to the web. The SA is Lexus’ idea of a supermini urban runaround, probably for the year 2020.
Proportionately, Lexus LF-SA is like 40 percent car, 60 percent front grille. That thing is mahoosive. We have been an advocate of Lexus’ design language this past couple of years because it has resulted in some good looking cars like the GS, IS and the NX. But we have to say that 3D grille on such a small car look plain silly.
Then again, Lexus LF-SA is just a design study and it can profoundly change by the time they get around making it. And it is very likely for Lexus to put this car in production, as their parent company, Toyota, has a couple of brilliant super mini platforms the SA can be built upon.
