We know for a fact that there are new variants of both Ferrari LaFerrari and Koenigsegg Agera in the works. The Ferrari is getting a hard-core FXX K model as well as an LMP1 version, and the Agera will get an RS model. But neither of them are drop-top versions.

That’s a pity, because on the evidence of these awesome renderings, they would both make great Spiders. Of course, the LaFerrari and the Agera are both hyper cars tuned to perfection to deliver the best performance possible, and that means you can’t just take the roof off willy nilly. That will have a profound effect on the cars’ wight and aerodynamics.

That said, not all people who buy cars like these machines like to use all of their power and speed all the time. Most buy them purely to show off. These guys would love a drop-top version of their favorite hyper car as it clearly looks much cooler than the hardtop and delivers a more thrilling driving experience as well.

There is a light chance that both Ferrari LaFerrari and Koenigsegg Agera would get open-top models in the future. It’s going to be harder for the Agera, as it features a functional roof scoop, but they can find a way around it.
