We have already brought you a speculative rendering of a Roadster version of the recently revealed Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce. But now master renderer Jon Sibal has had a go at it, and his Superveloce Roadster looks a lot cooler and more convincing too.
For this rendering Sibal chose the popular Verde Mantis color, and a very unique angel that best shows the SV’s interesting front-end design and makes those new aero parts really pop. It also helps appreciate how much cooler the car looks as a roadster. Somehow those fang-like winglets in the car’s front bumper work better with an open-top body!
Traditionally, every time Lamborghini releases an open-top version of an existing model, there is more to that car than just a gaping hole where the roof used to be. Take the old Gallardo Roadster, for example. That car was significantly different from the coupe, not just because of its soft-top, but also the revised suspension setup and enhanced responsiveness, not to mention the exhaust system.
Hopefully, then, the Aventador Superveloce Roadster, if it ever gets the green light, will come with some sort of a special features others model are not blessed with. Although, it is going to be hard to improve on what they have already achieved. After all, the SV is 110lbs lighter and 50 horsepower more potent than the standard Aventador.
