At this year’s Techno-Classica show in Essen, Germany, Bentley brought back the spirit of a 1930s model in the body of a 2015 model. The Bentley Mulsanne Speed Blue Train by Mulliner is a celebration of 85 years of style and craftsmanship.

Limited to just four production units, Bentley Mulsanne Speed Blue Train is not just a tribute to the Speed Six and built by the same division, Mullliner, that made the original, it also replicates some of the features of the 1930s car such as the fluting pattern in the door panels and the rear quarter inserts.

Bentley Mulsanne Speed Blue Train also comes with an expertly crafted veneer image of the original Bentley ‘Blue Train’ Speed Six on the dashboard, ‘Blue Train 85 Years’ treadplate, square mesh front grille, a personalised hamper trimmed with Burnt Oak and Camel hide, Blue Train embroidery, exclusive Robbe & Berking silver plated cutlery, Haviland Limoges porcelain crockery, LINLEY crystal champagne flutes and a 100 percent Angora picnic rug, woven in Scotland.

Bentley has not yet announced the pricing of this delightful limited edition, but Robert Engstler, Regional Director Europe, said: “The fact that we are producing just four of these Limited Editions is highly significant, as Barnato famously made it to the club in London four minutes before the train arrived in Calais. The unique design elements bring back nostalgic memories of one of the most legendary Bentleys of all times.”
