Those who have not yet been bitten by the 911 bug have, understandably, a hard time seeing what is the big deal about this fairly ugly sports car with the engine in the wrong place. The gorgeous Porsche 993 Turbo we have here could help these guys see the light.

Granted, purist would scoff at this car for not being completely stock, as this Porsche 993 Turbo S is equipped with a set of sleek and modern ADV1 wheels. We understand why they would roll their eyes at this perfectly well. But you have to say, when it works it works. And these wheels definitely work on the 993.

The rims you see here are ADV5 M.V1 SL series measuring 19×8.5 inch up front and 19×11 inch out back and featuring a Brushed Aluminum finish. They have been fitted by EVS Motors who apparently wanted to add a modern twist to the Porsche 993’s classic flair. We have no problem with the wheels, but we think the red brake calipers are a bit much.

Porsche 993 Turbo is the last of air-cooled 911s. The model that came after it, the 996, had water-cooled engines which of course worked better and were more reliable, but lacked in charm and character somewhat. That is why 993s worth preserving. The prices for these cars is going one way only and that is up.
