Audi has been mulling over the feasibility of a sedan version of the RS3 hot hatch for quite a while now. If they are in any doubt as to whether they should go ahead with it or not, they need to look at these new Audi RS3 Sedan renderings which will convince them it’ll all be good!

Of course, some may argue that the idea of an Audi RS3 Sedan does not make much sense because the existing hatchback is more practical and easier to live with. That might be true in Europe where people love hatchbacks, but a sedan RS3 could work in America. I fact it could be the perfect complement for Audi’s existing range and a good rival for the likes of Mercedes CLA45 AMG and the upcoming BMW M2.

A production version of the Audi RS3 Sedan will be powered by the firm’s aging but still brilliant five-cylinder TFSI unit with an output of around 360 horsepower. With the help of a S tronic transmission and quattro four-wheel-drive, that power will be enough to give the RS3 sedan a 0 to 60 time of just over four seconds. So all in all, it is hard to make a business case for this car. As far as we’re concerned, those looks are enough of a reason for its existence!
