How About a Camaro Shooting Brake?

Camaro Shooting Brake 600x352 at How About a Camaro Shooting Brake?

Over the past few days we have been seeing the new 2016 Camaro in a wide variety of body styles thanks to the magic of Photoshop. We saw it in convertible form and in the high-performance Z/28 guise. Now let’s step outside the box for a minute and see if the idea of a Camaro Shooting Brake makes any sense.

Subjectively, It does. A  Shooting Brake Camaro would be very pleasant to look at, on the evidence of what we can see here in this rendering, and it would hugely practical as well. So what’s not to like?

In the real world though, that argument does not hold water. Camaro is a muscle car and its fans will tell you that if you want practicality, go get a van. And they do have a point. But Shooting Brake cars are getting more and more fashionable these days, so we wouldn’t be at all surprised if someday even cars like the Camaro get a Shooting Brake variant.

Just to recap, the 2016 Camaro comes in three different flavors including a 2.0 liter four-cylinder Turbo with 270 horsepower, a 3.6 liter V6 with 300 horsepower, and a new 6.2 liter V8 in the SS model packing 455 horsepower.
