At the Parco Valentino Salone & Gran Premio auto show in Turin, Italy, Torino Design and ATS unveiled the outcome of their latest joint project. It’s an amazing piece of automotive art called Torino Design ATS Wild Twelve and it is more than just a design exercise.
The Torino Design ATS Wild Twelve is a hybrid hyper car of sorts, featuring a 3.8 liter bi-turbo V12 engine – hence the Wilde Twelve name – boosted with a couple of electric motors. Together they make 860 horsepower and 920 Nm of torque, distributed between all four wheels.
Performance-wise, that immense power corresponds to a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 2.6 seconds which is faster than any other hyper car currently, while reaching 200 km/h doesn’t take more than 6 seconds. The top speed is an astonishing 390 km/h or 240 mph. Mind you, these are Italians, so they might be lying about all this, we’re not sure!
Those figures are most likely fairly accurate because Torino Design ATS Wild Twelve is all set for a limited production run of 30 units, as soon as they find 30 people willing to spend big bucks on it. The car has an interesting design and it boasts magnificent technology, and above all it has tons of Italian flair. It shouldn’t be hard for ATS to find customers for this machine.
