A car spotter in Greenwich, California, managed to scoop one of the rarest super cars in the world, the one of one Ferrari SuperAmerica 45. This specially-commissioned model belongs to American collector Peter Kalikow.
Now, the reason it is kind of a big deal to see a Ferrari Superamerica 45 is because this car is the ultimate example of a “personalized” Ferrari. And it was created by the company’s Tailor Made team back in 2011 when the whole customization thing wasn’t as big as it is now.
Ferrari SuperAmerica 45 is special on so many different level, it’s kind of hard to keep track of them all. The car started life a 599 GTB, which was then turned into the hard-core GTO, and then became the open-top Aperta. As if all this wasn’t enough, Kalikow came along and asked Ferrari to fit a custom carbon body kit on it, bolt on some unique wheels, and then paint the whole thing is a one-off color called Caribbean Blue, inspired by 1960 Ferrari 400 SuperAmerica.
The SuperAmerica 45 is a 599 GTO underneath which means it is powered by a 670 horsepower V12 engine.
