Ford continues with their London shenanigans involving the new Ford GT concept, this time sending the car on a grand tour of the city in a glass box like it’s a toy car or a die cast model. That is just as well, because as we saw in the previous publicity stunt, no one in London has the faintest clue what this car is.
Well, at least this time they put a big Ford logo on the box to stop people mistaking the GT for a Ferrari, which is both a compliment and an insult.
The new Ford GT concept is on its way to become a production model, expected to be released in the second half of 2016. The finished product will look identical to the concept versions which is fantastic, and will have the same twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost powertrain as well. The GT will be a lightweight, aerodynamic, 600-hp super car with a limited production run of just 250 units each year. Prices are expected to be in the neighborhood of half a million dollars.
