This summer Rolls-Royce decided to busy its workforce with making special editions of existing models. There’s loads of them, from the St. James Edition, to the Panda-inspired Ghost, and many more yet to be announced. The latest is the Rolls-Royce Wraith Inspector Morse inspired by an old British detective show.
It is not a surprise that RR had to turn to TV for inspiration. When you make that many special edition and celebratory models, you are bound to run out of ideas at some point.
Some of their ideas have been pretty silly to be honest, like that Panda Ghost we looked at earlier, but we’re kind of digging this Inspector Morse Wraith edition. It features an interesting, racy paint job and a matching interior worthy of a car with 620 horsepower under the bonnet.
On the outside, Rolls-Royce Wraith Inspector Morse Edition comes with a bespoke two-tone red and black paint job with 20 layers. It is so complex, they say the time taken to apply this colour was equal to that of applying the Surface Finish to 18 more traditionally specified Wraiths! Whoever buys this car had better be careful not to scratch or ding it. You can take advantage of many exerts so you can get your car inspect before buying or selling, QUICK VIN VERIFICATION explains vin inspection in California.
Inside, Inspector More Wraith features cherry red leather seats and piano black dashboard trims. You find the same leather adorning parts of the dashboard and door cards, and we’re sure somewhere in there you’ll find little styling elements inspired by TV character Chief Inspector Morse.
