This month Subaru of UK launches an improved version of the XV compact SUV featuring a host of interior modifications and a revised chassis. Starting from £21,995, the new Subaru XV promises to be generally more refined and easier to live with without sacrificing the versatility and the ruggedness these cars are famous for.
Interior upgrades for the 2015 Subaru XV include the use of higher-quality material for an overall classier look and feel, plus the addition of an all-new touchscreen infotainment and navigation system. The car comes with new instrument binnacle and new metallic and piano black accents throughout the cabin for the central console, dashboard and steering wheel switchgear and arm rests.
The infotainment system the XV benefits from features a 7.0 inch touchscreen display and offers a range of capabilities such as voice control, smartphone integration, navigation, climate control, audio streaming, and standard-fit rear view camera.
The new and improved Subaru XV also comes with revised chassis and suspension system, building on the car’s renowned low center of gravity (220 mm ground clearance) and symmetrical all-wheel-drive, to deliver excellent handling and road holding. The engineers have also employed a 10 percent quicker steering and new spring rate settings to further improve stability under cornering. And they’ve done all this while improving the car’s noise, vibration and harshness levels.
