Along with the new turbocharged GS, Lexus will unveil at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours a new version of the LX full size SUV. The 2016 Lexus LX, which will launch in America in 570 V8 guise, comes with an all-new look inside and out, room for eight people, and upgraded equipment and features.
The main highlights of the 2016 Lexus LX in terms of design include a bolder rendition of the Lexus signature spindle grille with satin chrome trim, standard LED headlights, turn signals and fog lights, new rear bumper and taillights, and new 20 and 21-inch 10-spoke wheels.
The V8-powered, four-wheel-drive LX, which is based on the running gear of the highly capable Toyota Land Cruiser, comes with a new eight-speed automatic transmission, drive mode selection including Eco and Sport modes, and Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS). The engine delivers 383 horsepower and 403 lb.-ft. of peak torque, giving the car a towing capability of 7,000 pounds.
Notable standard features on the 2016 Lexus LX include panoramic view camera, larger 12.3-inch navigation screen, new multimedia with Remote Touch Interface and substantial dual screens for the available Rear Seat Entertainment System to help captivate passenger. The car also comes with the car maker’s Lexus Safety System + which includes Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Intelligent High Beam (IHB) and All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
