So after the first details of the new Ferrari F12 Speciale made their way to the web, now it’s time for the first photo of the car to emerge in total disregard for Ferrari’s embargo. This is the F12 Speciale – well, at least the back of it – and it’s looking rather special.

That is what you wold expect from a hard-core, track-focused F12 Berlinetta that has gained some more power and shed some weight. Ferrari F12 Speciale tips the scale at around 1.4 tons and packs 780 horsepower, which is 40 more than what you get from a normal F12. That’s a helluva recipe and makes this beast almost too quick for its own good. You can expect a 0 to 100 time of well under 3 seconds and a top speed north of 370 km/h.

The more important thing about the Ferrari F12 Speciale besides blistering performance is the way it looks. Based on what we have seen so far in spyshots, leaks and speculative renderings, the Speciale F12 comes with revised bumpers featuring larger active aero parts and bigger air vents, a host of scoops and grilles all over the body, lower ride height and larger wheels. Needless to say, production for this model will be limited and the price tag frighteningly high.

Ferrari F12 Speciale will make its official debut at 2015 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show. There is a chance it might be called GTO instead of Speciale, but we shall soon find out.
