It could be a sign of trouble in paradise, or it just could be a nice gesture by Jaguar to reduce the cost of owning their sexy F-Type sports car. Whatever the reason, they have just released a preview of the 2017 Jaguar F-Type and it costs $3,600 and $2,700 less than before for Coupe and Convertible models respectively.

Based on the new pricing policy, the 2017 Jaguar F-Type Coupe will start from $61,400 in America while the Convertible kicks off at $65,400. These prices are, of course, for the entry model powered by the 340-hp 3.0L V6 mated to the 6-speed manual transmission. The range also includes ’S’ and ‘R’ models which cost more, but on average less than last year’s models.

As for the standard kit you get with the base 2017 Jaguar F-Type, the list includes a new 6-way adjustable partially electric seat, as well as a valet mode and solar attenuating windshield glass. Also standard is the Meridian 770W surround sound audio system, navigation, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, leather and suedecloth finished sport seats and Jaguar InControl Apps.

In America the F-Type will be offered Jaguar EliteCare Ownership Package Featuring New Vehicle Limited Warranty, Roadside Assistance, Jaguar InControl Protect Remote and the Longest Complimentary Scheduled Maintenance Package. You really don’t need more incentives to go out and get one of these… if you have 60 grand lying around.
