Jaguar Land Rover have a habit of upgrading their cars for new modelyears, even if the car in question has been around for like six months. So here’s the 2017 Jaguar XE and its biggest highlight is the addition of a super clever all-wheel-drive system.
The 2017 Jaguar XE AWD – the self-proclaimed “most dynamic sports saloon in the mid-size segment,” – adds to its list of great features a torque on-demand all-wheel drive (AWD) system exclusively available for the 180PS Ingenium models. It works in tandem with Adaptive Surface Response which distinguishes between different types of surface, thus ensuring maximum grip at all times while maintaining rear-drive driving characteristics.
Another updated feature of the 2017 Jaguar XE is the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with 10.2-inch tablet-style touchscreen, boasting an intelligent navigation that can tell others if you’re running late, a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to eight devices and apps for wearable technology. The XE also benefits from an enhanced range of assistance systems including Lane Keep Assist, Driver Condition Monitor and Speed Limiter.
The new Jaguar XE sports saloon in now available to order in the United Kingdom, starting from £26,990. The range includes XE SE, XE Prestige, XE R-Sport, XE Portfolio, and XE S.
