So as the production of the real, full-size McLaren P1 comes to an end, the British automaker announced the launch of a series of P1 model cars in many shapes, sizes and styles. They make for perfect Christmas gifts as there’s even a Lego version.

The sizes of McLaren P1 model cars vary from 1:64 to 1:8, approximately 75mm to 595mm, and so does the cost, which begins at £10 and goes up to over £8,000. The 75mm models come from Mattel-HotWheels in Volcano Orange and Supernova Silver. Scalextric and Maisto, meanwhile offer 1:14 models radio controlled slot car McLaren P1 in Volcano Yellow and Volcano Orange with illuminating headlights and tail lights.

Professional model car collectors may want to check out the ones offered by TSM (True Scale Models) AutoArt, Minichamps and Tecnomodel. The list includes Nürburgring edition XP2R prototype, the camouflaged McLaren P1 prototype, and the car Jenson Button drove at Goodwood Festival of Speed, plus Amethyst Black PP3 pre-production model. There is also a 1:8 offering from Amalgam Fine Model Cars.

The coolest miniature McLaren P1, however, is the buildable Volcano Yellow McLaren P1 by Lego. It has all the authentic details of the real thing and you get to spend time with your kid, or alone in your man cave, building it, which is a satisfying experience in itself.
