The new-look Vitara SUV researched such a warm welcome in the UK market that Suzuki decided to take advantage of the momentum and sell more cars by launching a more appealing version. The 2016 Suzuki Vitara S will go on sale in January next year, boasting sporty looks and extra equipment.
The main visual highlights of the Suzuki Vitara S include 17-inch Gloss black alloy wheels, unique grille design, satin silver door mirrors, LED Headlamps with red projector covers, rear upper spoiler and black side body mouldings. You can order the car in Bright Red (solid), and Cool White Pearl, Galactic Grey or Cosmic Black (metallic).
Inside the cabin the S variant comes with red interior stitching and accents for air conditioning vent and instruments and aluminium alloy pedals. Equipment-wise, the standard kit includes seven airbags, alloy wheels, DAB Radio with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control with speed limiter, auto air conditioning and front and rear electric windows.
Another first, and a trump card, for the Suzuki Vitara S is its new BOOSTERJET 1.4-litre Direct Injection turbocharged engine with compact turbo charger attached directly to the cylinder head as well as incorporating the exhaust manifold into the cylinder head casting. It makes 140PS and 220Nm of torque resulting in a 0-60 time of 10.2 seconds and a top speed of 124mph.
Priced at £20,899 for manual and £22,249for automatic version, the Viatara S has a combined fuel consumption of 52.3mpg corresponding to CO2 emissions of 127g/km (manual gearbox).
