You cannot have an American motor show without at least a couple of brand-new pickup trucks making their debut. So here’s one, the 2017 Ford Raptor SuperCrew which adds room for passengers and gear and offers an overall more versatile vehicle than the standard version.

What is more attractive about the new Ford Raptor SuperCrew, besides the simply awesome looks, is that everything about this truck is just cool. The engine, for instance, is a 400+ horsepower 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6, and it’s mated to a 10-speed transmission as well as torque-on-demand all-wheel-drive. They are all superb features that make every pickup lover weak in the knees.

What’s more, the new SuperCrew is pitched as the toughest Raptor ever. It features a purpose-built fully boxed frame, dual exhaust and new 17-inch wheels with next-generation BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires designed for off-road performance, plus advanced suspension and drivetrain parts that save up to 500 pounds in weight compared to the previous Raptor. So not only is it tough, it is also more agile than ever.

But Ford Raptor SuperCrew is not just muscle. The thing also has brains, in form of an all-new Terrain Management System with up to six driving modes, including Normal mode for everyday driving, Street mode for higher-performance, on-road driving, Weather mode for rain, snow or ice, Mud and sand mode for muddy and sandy trails and terrain, Baja mode for high-speed desert running and Rock mode for low-speed rock crawling.
