Hyundai announced the official pricing and specs of the latest iteration of Elantra sedan in the American market. The 2017 Hyundai Elantra starts from $17,150 which is a hundred bucks less than the outgoing model, even though the new model is better-looking and better equipped.

The 17 grand 2017 Hyundai Elantra is the SE trim grade which comes with a manual gearbox and boasts features such as LED daytime running lights, Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and a segment-exclusive hands-free smart trunk. This same model can be ordered with a  6-speed Automatic Transmission at the cost of $18,150.

The range-topping Elantra is the Limited model which comes with the automatic transmission and packs standard leather seating, eight-inch touchscreen navigation with Infinity premium audio system and Clari-Fi system. All 2017 Hyundai Elantra models are powered by the same 2.0L Nu MPI Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine with 147 horsepower and 132 lb.-ft. of torque. All, except for the Eco model which will be launched later this year with a 1.4-liter Kappa turbocharged GDI four-cylinder engine with an EcoShift seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
