Opel/Vauxhall have come up with a brand-new concept car for this year’s Geneva Motor Show, and they are so excited about it, they can’t stop teasing it. They have just dropped new preview pictures and videos of this Opel GT Concept, it’s looking rather promising.

The latest teasers for Opel GT Concept shows the sports car’s central double exhaust which is a throwback to the design of vintage sports car, namely ground-breaking concept cars from both Vauxhall and sister brand Opel in the mid-1960s. Opel says the design of the GT itself is in no way retro. In fact, “purebred” is the word they use to describe this car.

Another highlight of the Opel GT Concept is its set of red tires, which is apparently an homage to the avant-garde way to the Motoclub 500, a futuristic Opel motorcycle from 1928, that wore red tires. We do realize Opel is trying to be daring and exciting with the new concept, but they should be careful not to get carried away. I mean, red tires?
