Miami is Lamborghini’s first choice to host their press drive events in every time they launch a new convertible model. They went there with the Aventador Roadster, and now they’ve brought a bunch of Lamborghini Huracan Spyder models here for a group of lucky motoring journalists to have a go in.
Maybe it’s just Lambo being clever, you know. They fly you to Miami, put you in a nice hotel, and when it’s time for you to work, they put you up in a Lamborghini Huracan Spyder and let you loose on the streets of Miami, all the way from Ocean Drive, to Matheson Hammock Park, Crandon Park, Rickenbacker Causeway. You have to a complete jerk to say bad things about the car after they’ve shown you such hospitality!
Recap: Lamborghini Huracan Spyder comes with the same 610 horsepower V10 engine from the hardtop model, mated to a 7-speed LDF dual-clutch transmission with variable shift characteristics via Drive Select Mode. The car accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 324 km/h (201 mph). As for the roof arrangement, it’s an electric folding soft top, so none of that manual nonsense that drives the owners of the Aventador Roadster off the wall.
