After the success of “Plum Crazy” purple, “B5 Blue” and “Sublime” green, Dodge has now brought back yet another one of their famous ‘Heritage’ colors from the 70s. This one is the Go Mango orange, available now for the 2016 Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT models.

Available for Challenger SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat and Charger SRT 392 and SRT Hellcat, the Go Mango paint finish is not really as exclusive as something like Plum Crazy, since they made the mistake of introducing it on a rubbish small model like the 2016 Dodge Dart. They had also tried to re-launch it back in 2006 on specific Charger R/T Daytona models.

Still, that doesn’t take away from the coolness of Go Mango as a retro paint finish from Dodge’s golden age of muscle car building. The unique shade was first introduced on the iconic 1970 Challenge, and although the reinterpretation is pretty close to the original, it has some stronger red tones for a more impactful finish. And yes, the stripes are also present and correct.

“Powerful performance cars like our Dodge Charger and Challenger demand high-impact colors,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Car Brands – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America. “Dodge muscle cars have a long history of unique paint colors with iconic names, and we’ll continue to reach back into our paint code archive to give our enthusiast customers what they want.”
