Ford’s Kansas City Assembly Plant announced the production of a limited-run Ford F-150 MVP Edition, celebrating the renewal of Midwest Ford Dealers sponsorship for the 2016 season with Kansas City Royals. They are only making 300 copies of this, which seems about enough, since it only appeal to KCR fans.

The 2016 Ford F-150 MVP Edition is also a tribute to Kansas City Royals’ second world championship, just as the 1986 Ford Ranger MVP edition was back then. In fact the very idea for producing this limited edition model was proposed by a Kansas City Royal fan.

The biggest highlight of this truck, apart from numerous MVP badges, is that the customization are added at Kansas City’s unique SubTropolis underground business complex. Ford F-150 MVP Edition is based on the F-150 XLT with chrome package and available in either Oxford White or Blue Flame, and in addition to the exclusive badges comes with unique polished stainless rocker panels and a spray-in bedliner.

“Like our manufacturing team members at Kansas City Assembly Plant, the Kansas City Royals are a great example of what terrific teamwork can accomplish,” said Gary Johnson, Ford vice president for North America manufacturing.
