Earlier we showed you a ’73 Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 and called it the granddaddy of today’s 991 GT3 RS. So that means this gorgeous Porsche 993 Turbo S you see here is the grand father of today’s 991 Turbo (or should it be the 964?). At any rate, this is one handsome 911.
The 993 body style, in our opinion, is the most charismatic form Porsche 911 has ever had. It looks pretty modern, and yet has enough retro flavor to make it a timeless design. You get the round headlights, the large tail lights that cover the width of the apron, the muscular fenders and that all important Turbo rear wing. We also those 993 wheels which were used in one from or another on future models as well.
This particular Porsche 993 Turbo S you see here, looking resplendent in its deep purple paint job which seems to be recently applied, is the latest classic resident of Alain Class Motors showroom in Dubai. The car appears to have undergone a complete makeover, as besides the paint job it also features an upgraded interior with some nice carbon fiber on the dash and a generous amount of suede covering the floor.
We don’t know whether or not this Porsche 993 Turbo S features mechanical upgrades, but the standard 993 T S came with a 450 horsepower 3.6 liter flat-six turbo engine which enabled it to hit 100 km/h from standing still in 3.6 seconds. A good example of this kid of the Nineties goes for around $400K. A great example like this one definitely costs a lot more.
