Today we get our first look at one of the most important world premieres of the 2016 Beijing Auto Show, and it’s a mid-size SUV. The Infiniti QX Sport Inspiration concept previews the brand’s vision for a next-generation crossover.
As usual, Infiniti has been pretty rubbish naming their cars, but the concept itself appears to be a thing worth looking forward to. Infiniti QX Sport Inspiration could be what the next QX70 (which you know better as the FX) looks like, what with its muscular bonnet and insane looking headlights.
In describing the QX Sport Inspiration, Infiniti mentions “SUV-like proportions highlighted with wide muscular lines shoulders” inspired by the Q60 and “floating A-pillars and extra-wide wheel arches” as the main highlights of this car. Now the good thing about all of this is, Infiniti has a habit of turning they’re concepts into production cars with very little change. So what you see here is what you will get in the near future.
Alfonso Albaisa, Infiniti Executive Design Director, commented: “The QX Sport Inspiration expresses a power and purpose that is uniquely Infiniti. With a flowing, natural aesthetic, this concept demonstrates how Infiniti can offer something new and exciting with future QX SUV models.”
