Sir Peter Blake, the godfather of British pop art, has lent his talents to Bentley for a project that is set to raise thousands of pounds for charity. Together they have created a Bentley Continental art car that will be auctioned for charity by Bonhams at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on 24 June.

Based on the latest GT V8 S Convertible, Sir Blake’s Bentley Continental art car features the highlights of his works and captures the essence of his style. As such, it features the artist’s bespoke St Luke’s Blue on rear haunches, doors and boot lid, complemented with British Racing Green lower body, and a Fuchsia pink-coloured radiator shell.

Cumbrian Green, Imperial Blue, Newmarket Tan and Hotspur are colors that make up the interior, along with a steering wheel featuring Hotspur outer rim, Newmarket Tan inner rim and Cumbrian Green centre, with Imperial Blue stitching.

Donated to Care2Save Charitable Trust, Bentley Continental art car also features Sir Peter’s signature incorporated onto the fascia panel and embroidered on all four seat headrests. The artist commented: “I am proud to have been involved with transforming this beautiful car, and have enormous admiration for the people at Bentley who brought my design into being, to produce this one-off lovely car.”
