You may not have heard of Renault Koleos, but this car is a serious contender in the D-segment SUV categeory, especially in the “global” market… which means no one can blame you for not having heard of it. But now there is a new version with bolder looks, and it wants to be recognized.
Whereas the first Renault Koleos was a fairly bland and tasteless vehicle, which some even called ugly, the facelift version – set for debut at the 2016 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition on April 25th – features the firm’s new design language which is lot more exciting. It’s still not what you call a beauty, but at least this design has presence and you cannot ignore it like you did the previous model.
Renault Koleos Facelift will continue as a car with “global appeal” which means it will remain an affordable vehicle offering funky styling, decent features, and a range of economical powertrains. Renault is also promising saloon car refinement, a comfortable interior, and decent all-terrain capabilities as other highlights of the new model. So yes, this little D-segmenter is gunning for better things and it’s well-prepared to achieve them.
