The 2016 Gumball 3000 super car rally will welcome a special guest this year, a uniquely prepared, gold-wrapped BAC Mono entered in several stages of the event by the British auto maker. The car will also part of the charity event on the final night.
BAC will be offering a driving experience day in a Mono at a UK track to be auctioned for charity at the Gumball 3000 Foundation dinner on the final night of this year’s event. That’s, apparently, how hard it is to get behind the wheel of these things. But it’s not going to be a problem for Gumball founder, Maximillion Cooper, who will be taking the wheel of the Mono as the rally stops off at the Hungaroring in Hungary.
The charity auction prize will also include a tour around the BAC factory, and the company’s home city of Liverpool. The exotic BAC Mono will be present at the rally’s flag drop in Dublin, and also take part in the Regent Street parade as the celebrity-studded supercar event stops off in London. The factory-backed car will be joined in several of the stages with another Mono owned by regular Gumball 3000 participant Josh Cartu.
Gumball 3000 founder Maximillion Cooper said: “I’m a big supporter of British brands and BAC is one of the coolest automotive companies out there. The Mono supercar looks stunning and I can’t wait to have a go!”
