Last month at the Geneva Motor Show Rolls-Royce announced the launch of a new series called the Black Badge which includes enhanced versions of the Ghost and the Wraith. Thing is, the name is a bit misleading. These models don’t come only in black, as you can clearly see with this rather special Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge we have here.
The Black Badge is a visual treatment – an aesthetic package, if you will – designed to make the aforementioned Rollers look and feel even more special while adding a nice touch of sport to their blend of luxury and style. And while they feature many blacked-out elements on exterior as well as interior, the cars don’t necessarily have to be black.
This Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge, for example, is finished in a lovely two-tone with a rich shade of red for the lower parts of the body, and metallic black adorning the bonnet, roof, pillars, and the boot. Of course, the telltale signs of being a Black Badge are found all over the vehicle, from the lack of shiny chrome, to the black badges and exclusive carbon wheels and gloss black Spirit of Ecstasy.
Another important highlight of Rolls-Royce Wraith Black Badge is its revised engine which makes 70 more torques over the standard version. The same applies to the Ghost, only there you get 60 extra torques.
