In a series of old Top Gear-inspired stunts Ford is trying to show off what can be done with their renowned 1.0 liter EcoBoost engine apart from powering cars. In its quest the Blue Oval is getting some help from the Swedish actor and engineer Dolph Lundgren.
Ford’s 1.0 liter EcoBoost engine is famous for having a block so compact, it can be fitted on a piece of A4 paper. That means the unit can be hooked up to a number of things – from food blenders, to cannons, and of course skateboards.

The 1,000cc EcoBoost is a pretty versatile unit employed in a wide variety of Ford vehicles, from family hatchbacks to specialty racing cars. In various states of tune it produces anything between 100 and 200 PS, and in all those tunes it remains perfectly fuel efficient relative to the performance it delivers. What’s more, unlike most other three-cylinder ‘eco’ engines we’ve come across, this little motor is also pretty cool. No one’s going to mock you for having a 1.0 liter three-cylinder engine when they realize it’s the award-winning EcoBoost by Ford.
