Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the GT40’s 1966 Le Mans 24 Hour win, Ford announced the launch of a series of limited edition models in the French market. The Le Mans 50th Anniversary lineup includes special version of the Focus ST, Fiesta ST, Focus RS and the Mustang.
Each Ford Le Mans 50th Anniversary model will be produced in 50 copies, bringing the total run to 200, and they all share common visual features inspired by the race-winning GT40, including Mica Black paint job and grey racing stripes as well as unique badges inside and out.
Where the cars differ is in terms of the features and equipment. The Focus ST comes with the City Pack including parking sensor and active city brakes as well as 18 inch wheels and red calipers, while the RS gets the Comfort and Premium packs with cruise control, speed limiter, top-notch sound system and keyless entry. The Fiesta ST Le Mans 50th Anniversary, meanwhile, benefits from 17 inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers and parking aids as part of the Performance and Parking packs, while Mustang GT’s Premium pack brings satellite navigation and 19 inch rims.
