Visionary Photoshop enthusiast Yasid Design has come up with a rendering of an imaginary McLaren race car which sits above the P1 GTR as the what the natural evolution of that car would eventually spawn. Called McLaren LMP1 P1, this model is imagined as a high-end Le Mans racer.

Although McLaren LMP1 P1 exist only in Yasid’s imagination, and his computer, there is a chance, though very slim, of it becoming a reality. After all, nobody thought when McLaren announced the $3 million P1 GTR track car that some people would spend a couple of millions on top of that and turn that car street-legal. But that’s exactly what they have done.

So all it takes for McLaren LMP1 P1 to be built is for a rich enthusiast to fancy it enough to actually order it to a coachbuilder – or McLaren’s own Special Operations unit. Seeing as the LMP1 is based on the P1 GTR, all it needs to become a real car is a custom body. And how hard can building that be? We already know that money is no object for hard-core McLaren fans, so yea, it could happen.
