Swiss luxury car dealer Carugati Automobiles has commissioned a special photoshoot of one of their most prized possessions, a pristine Ferrari F50 in yellow. It’s not the best Ferrari of all time, the F50, but these days it is certainly one of the most desirable modern classics.

What this magnificent gallery offers, besides melting your heart with the beauty of an Italian design against the amazing Swiss scenery, is a good look at the styling details of the F50. This car was one of the first Ferraris to which the phrase “triumph of function over style” can be readily applied. The unique nose, the massive side intakes, and that ginormous rear wing, they were all design first and foremost for performance. Still, the collection of these bits have created a look that is, at the very least, fascinating.

The same could be said of Ferrari F50 engine, a mid-mounted V12 positioned in the chassis like the engine of an F1 racer. It is technically brilliant, but not the most best arrangement as far as comfort and refinement are concerned. This engine develops 513 bhp and 347 lb·ft (470 N·m) of torque and propels the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h). Here’s Carugati’s Ferrari F50 posing with its two grand children:
