Independent car designers are speculating fast and hard these days on various versions of the new 2017 Panamera, and none more so than X-Tomi. After showing us what the new Pana looks like as a Sport Tourer, he’s now penned the next Porsche Panamera GTS which should arrive some time in 2018, or beyond.
Come to think about it, Porsche renderings come out quick because there isn’t much that needs to be done in order to, for example, turn a regular Panamera into a GTS variant. That’s just the way Porsche design is. So when it came to putting together the 2018 Porsche Panamera GTS, Tomi must have looked at the current GTS and the new Panamera and just get the bumper from the old model and stick it on the new one.
We are more interested in knowing what kind of engine the next Porsche Panamera GTS will have under its long and sloping bonnet. The last GTS we got had a 4.8-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine delivering 430 hp. That probably won’t be the case with the next one. It will most likely pack a dense and heavily turbocharged V6 unit, but if we know Porsche it will make even more power than the old V8. So there will be no shortage of oomph.
