The final edition of the Renault Megane RS, the third-generation of a hot hatch that has been around since 2003 and of which more than 30,000 units have been produced, goes on sale in the United Kingdom priced at £31,930. The final version, dubbed Renault Megane RS 275 Cup-S, has unsurprisingly the best specs yet.

The list of good things about Renault Megane RS 275 Cup-S is a long one and begins with a Liquid Yellow Renault i.d. metallic paint job which has unique shine you don’t get anywhere else than RenaultSport. The hot hatch also boasts 19-inch Speedline alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, Öhlins Road&Track adjustable dampers, Alcantara steering wheel, gear lever and hand brake, Recaro Seats, Handsfree keycard, Renault Sport Monitor V2 on-board performance tracking and R-Link multimedia system including satellite navigation.

As the name clearly suggests, Renault Megane RS 275 Cup-S has the hard-core Cup-S chassis back by serious 275bhp firepower coming from a 2.0 liter turbocharged unit. This combination is supported by mechanical limited-slip differential, red Brembo four-pot brake calipers, firmer springs and dampers and a stiffer anti-roll bar to give this RS a serious turn of speed with a 0 to 60 mph time of 6.0 seconds and a top speed is 158mph, in addition of course to quite possibly the best front-wheel-drive handling in the world.
