The market is pretty hot right now for mid-range, affordable SUVs and it comes as no surprise that a whole bunch of them are now coming out as we get closer to the 2016 Paris Motor Show. One of the star SUVs of this year’s show is going to be this, the all-new Peugeot 5008.

Boasting an interesting design like all other modern Peugeots, the 5008 has more going for it than just quirky looks. The seven-seat SUV comes with many features that you don’t get with the other offerings in this segment, chief among which the iCockpit digital dashboard consisting of a compact steering wheel, a large 8” touchscreen dashboard and a spectacular 12.3” high-resolution digital head-up display.

Other highlights of the Peugeot 5008 inside the cabin include a 1,060 liter boot, seating arrangement with three matching, separate, folding seats in the second row, adjustable in length and inclination and two removable, separate, folding seats in the third row, FOCAL Premium Hi-Fi system, large panoramic opening glass roof, and 3D navigation.

To be launched in spring 2017, the Peugeot 5008 is built on the Efficient Modular Platform 2 (EMP2) and comes with a range of low-CO2 Euro 6.1 powertrains. Among the tech features the car can be specified with we can mention the Advanced Grip Control – including new exclusive Hill Assist Descent Control (HADC), Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Distance Alert, Active Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA), Driver attention warning, Smart Beam Assistance, Speed sign recognition and speed suggestion, Adaptive cruise control with stop feature (automatic gearbox), Active blind spot monitoring, Park Assist and Visio Park (360° vision).
