Of all the special edition Ferraris those that bear the name of a famous person connected with the history of the brand are the classiest and most sought after. That makes this limited edition Ferrari 458 Niki Lauda Edition a bit of a unicorn, but a unicorn you can now buy.

This virtually brand-new, Rosso Corsa Ferrari 458 Niki Lauda Edition with the white accents and gold wheels of the limited edition is currently on sale at Ferrari Cannes for the princely sum of 260,000 Euros. That sounds like a lot, but you have to take into account that the car has only a 100 km on the clock, or delivery mileage, and more importantly it’s a limited edition Ferrari which means it can fetch twice that money four or five years from now. Rare Ferraris are a safer investment than real estate or stocks or even gold.

Built by the Tailor Mad division as an homage to the former Formula One champ, Ferrari 458 Niki Lauda Edition features a livery inspired by that of Lauda’s 1974 Ferrari 312 B3 F1 car. Apart from that, and a few enhancements inside the cabin, the car is a standard 458 with a 562bhp 4.5 liter V8 engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
