The Sport Utility segment is more crowded today than ever, but with the new 2017 Infiniti QX60 the Japanese/American car maker has hit a sweet spot than all but guarantees sales success. This SUV has seven seats, it comes with a cool badge, it is very well appointed, and it starts at a fairly reasonable price.

The 2017 Infiniti QX60 starts from $43,100 for the rear-wheel- and $44,900 for the all-wheel-drive model. Both get the same 3.5-liter DOHC V6 adds Direct Injection Gasoline which this year has got revised air intake system, electronic variable timing control (e-VTC) and mirror bore coating for an additional 30 hp, bringing the total to 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque (an increase of 22 lb-ft from 2016). The engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

As for the features and equipment, 2017 Infiniti QX60 packs the Infiniti InTouch infotainment system with navigation, Vehicle Health Report and Voice Recognition for audio, and Bluetooth. But all the good things come as part of value-added package. The InTouch is part of the Premium Plus package, and there is a Deluxe Technology Package which adds a new Motion Activated Liftgate, High Beam Assist and auto side dimming mirrors, while the Drivers Assistance Package also includes auto side dimming mirrors. You can also get the Theater Package which offers dual 8-inch color monitors (1-inch larger than 2016), along with the addition of a 12V power point, USB port (audio/video capable) and an HDMI port, as well as optional WiFi.
