Pure McLaren is the name McLaren Automotive has given its customer track day event – what Ferrari calls Corse Clienti and Aston Martin calls Art of Living. Now McLaren is adding a new branch to their programs by hosting their first ever ice driving event in January 2017.
It’s called Pure McLaren Arctic it will take place 200 miles into the Arctic Circle in one of the most expansive winter testing facilities in the world in northern Finland, and it makes perfect sense for McLaren because their customers are rich and rich people are almost all into skiing and winter sports. Tossing around their rear-wheel-drive British super cars on snow sounds too fun an opportunity for them to pass.
But Pure McLaren Arctic is not all about fun and games. During the program the customers will also learn to hone their winter driving skills and even try their hands at tricky maneuvers such as Scandinavian flick. They will do all this in utmost luxury and comfort as McLaren has teamed up with local travel provider Luxury Action and Jávri Lodge, the former home of the President of Finland, for accommodation. The first even will only include the 570S as the official snow driving car and its prces start from £12,500 per person.
